Just wanted to list, what I believe are some of the best op & ends of this fall season.
6.- GUNDAM G NO RENCOGUISTA END
"G no Senkō" (Ｇの閃光; Flash of G) by Daisuke Hasegawa
This song is way catchier than it has in right to be, so far its celebratory of Gundam in general, and serves to frame the no worries setting of the anime. Even the weird Falsetto "G no Reconguista" grew on me, and ear-wormed me to death.
5.- SHINGEKI NO BAHAMUT END
Promised Land" by Risa Shimizu
With beautiful Watercolored Drawings, resembling a Children's Book, this beautiful theme is a perfect way to end the emotional roller-coaster that is every episode of this series. The singer Risa Shimizu, echoes of Final Fantasy's Faye Wong, which is a perfect tone to this majestic series.
4.- CROSS-ANGE OP
"Kindan no Resistance" (禁断のレジスタンス;Forbidden Resistance) by Nana Mizuki
Amazing lyrics and rhythm, the visuals are just average, but the song works really well, sung by Nana Mizuki, reminds me of Jam Project, or animetal lady, which is the perfect fit, for this Grind-house lesbian prison with mechs anime. SHUT UP DON'T JUDGE ME
3.- GARO OP
"Honō no Kokuin -Divine Flame-" by JAM Project
Which leads us to JAM f**king PROJECT, great epic song one of the high notes of the year. The stylized visuals, work amazingly well setting up the mood of this medieval story. Great stuff, It would have ranked higher but I don't believe Jam Project deserve's to be patronized as good as it is, it is only average compared to the quality of their previous work.
2.- NANATSU NO TAIZAI END
"7-seven-" by FLOW x GRANRODEO
Really Great perfectly synced visuals and music, high beat folky-punk, reminded me of the Cherry Coke$ (Performed the op for Giant KIlling, a good soccer anime) really catchy.
1.-AMAGI BRILLANT PARK OP
"Extra Magic Hours" by AKINO with bless4
Wow, I would have never thought that this stupid comedy slice of life would end up being one of my favorite shows of the season top 5 for sure. The way the celebratory beats of the op and perfectly matched imagery contrast the beautiful theme park with the ran-down reality that the series show, makes you root for the otherwise dislikable MC
Shingeki No Bahamut OP
"EXiSTENCE" by SiM
At first I didn't really like this one, but its been growing on me, just like other recent Metal ops (I'm looking at you database, database) at first looks like random scenes put together in imovie, then you start to appreciate the art, and before you know, you are liking the op theme too.
The way it contrast with the rest of the series Soundtrack is really interesting too
Your Lie In April OP
"Hikaru Nara" (光るなら;If You Will Shine) by goose house
Shhhhhhh!, don't tell anyone I liked this one, I'll loose all my tough cred. but the, feels are strong even if its just another slice of life with a manic pixie dream girl.
